The Community Dialogue Space (CDS) is hosted by the 2016 Red Ribbon Award (RRA) recipients in collaboration with UNAIDS, the organizing partners of AIDS 2016, and civil society partners. The CDS celebrates community leadership and action on AIDS. It provides a platform to share experiences and showcase successes. The CDS is a space in which conference delegates from all sectors including science, civil society, government and multilateral institutions engage and dialogue on issues of importance to communities under the leadership of community-based organizations from around the world. It aims to influence decision-making processes through interactive discussions and stories about some of the successes and challenges faced by communities. The interactive programme includes high-level dialogue sessions between civil society and international leaders as well as cultural events.
The theme of the AIDS 2016 conference is "Access Equity Rights." Accordingly, the Community Dialogue Space "Our Voices" will highlight community initiatives that show leadership in increasing the effectiveness of the response to AIDS. Community organizations showcase their progress and community leadership in practical terms how to increase our strength in responding to a global epidemic - one community at a time.
The Dialogue Space will open on Monday 18 July and host full day sessions through Friday 22 July 2016. To see the full agenda click here
