The ICAAP Theme: "Asia/Pacific Reaching Triple Zero: Investing in Innovation" speaks directly to the mission of the RRA Winners from the region. In recent years, the Asia and Pacific region has experienced significant progress in the reduction of new HIV infections, increase in the number of people receiving antiretroviral treatment and expansion of programmes to reach key affected populations. Despite the gains made, however, challenges still remain.

The three RRA 2012 Winners are sharing with ICAAP participants their innovative approaches to approaching the Three Zeros in their communities: Zero new HIV infections, Zero discrimination and Zero AIDS-related deaths. Through sharing their experiences, the RRA Winners hope to inspire other civil society groups as well as decision-makers and other stakeholders to create a stronger and more effective response to AIDS in communities in the region.
